Tree Service
« on: March 04, 2008, 11:23:44 AM »
After 16 years in a heavily wooded neighborhood in Medford, I have finally found an absolutely WONDERFUL tree service.  They are prompt, reliable, EXTREMELY careful, thorough, neat, courteous and professional, not to mention competitive in pricing.  I will never again call anyone else except NOVA Tree Service, novatree@comcast.net. We had 8 very large dying trees taken out today, stumps ground, etc. and I can honestly say it was stress free.  A professional landscaper recommended them to me and I can certainly see why!

It is so good to learn of a service that is prompt, dependable and reliable.  I have a landscaper that I feel that way about after searching for someone for 15 years.  "Back to Paradise Landscaping"  Steven Peer.  609-847-0931.  If all of us who have had a good experience with a service person posted their information n this site, we would have an outstanding resource center.   The best referral is a personal referral from a friend or client.

Thank you, Nancy!    I am doing some landscaping myself this year, and I certainly would have called Back to Paradise for a quote if I had read your review first.    I agree with you that a satisfied client is absolutely the best reference.  Like you, I like to support local businesses as much as possible, so I always pass the word along if someone does a particularly good job.   We had quotes from a number of landscapers for a big project this year (front, side and back yard clearing and regrading, new patio and wall in back, correction of challenging drainage issues all over, sod, new plantings, etc.).  We ultimately chose Laurel Oak, with whose work I am extremely pleased.  Considering the scope of my project  I am surprisingly unstressed, which I attribute to two people: Guy Scott, one of the terrific Laurel Oak owners, and Dave Harvey, the absolutely wonderful Laurel Oak supervisor assigned to my project.  Both men are experienced, talented, knowledgeable landscape professionals, and genuinely nice fellows.  Communciation with them has been excellent, my property is swept up every day when the crew leaves, the materials and workmanship are top notch, and frankly I have not had even a single complaint.  I am truly thrilled with the way they are transforming my home, it is simply astounding what a good professional landscaper can do to make your property more enjoyable, and it is really not as expensive as people think.   My only regret is that I did not call Laurel Oak out years ago.   And having looked at so many landscapers, I was also very impressed with MGM Landscaping, whose owner Chad Mason is a former marine and an extremely nice man, I have heard good things about his work from a lot of my neighbors.  Making the decision between MGM and Laurel Oak was not easy, both companies are Medford based, quality landscapers, and I really don't think you could go wrong with either one.

I can only reiterate what 'Mom' has said. Laurel Oak did a large job for us last year and they were wonderful to have working for us.  Dave Harvey and Guy Scott are two of the nicest people we have ever met.  And, their workers are courteous and do a great job - on the landscape, hardscape and daily cleanup.
