PNC Bank at Taunton & Tuckerton
« on: June 08, 2009, 07:33:09 AM »
Does anyone else get solicited for business every single time you're in there?  Every time I go to the bank, I'm asked if I have any retirement accounts I want to move to PNC.  Or if I need a loan, etc.  You can't even go thru the drive-thru without them trying to solicit addt'l business.  I'm already a customer and they still badger me non-stop.

Today, I was at the bank, and the teller politely asked if I had the day off.  I explained that I had just lost my job and was running errands today.  About an hour later, the same teller called me AT HOME asking if I had a 401(k) that I'd like to move to PNC.  The constant solicitation for addt'l business is offensive.  I can't stand it so much that I'm thinking of moving my accounts elsewhere.  I know banks need revenue but they are just going to drive customers in the other direction with this approach. Anyone else have similar experiences??

I've been in there once or twice, and I always get hassled too.  Most of the time I just try to ignore whatever they're saying to me, but sometimes they can be pretty persistent.

I think I'm going to start going in and resoliciting them.

I like that idea! Although I'm at the point where civility is going fast and whatever I say won'tcome out politely?  How many times can you say "NO, THANKS."  ??
